The Great Man-Made River Project

In the past. Libya had problems in desalination and water supply. Because it's a desert country finding fresh water always being a problem. After the revolution when Muammar Al Qadhafi deposed King Idris, Finding a supply of fresh and clean water become a government priority. The government made the Great Man-Made River Project which has the potential to change Libyan life for the better. In 1993, phase 1 was finished which is the goal to supply the water from eastern well-fields. After that bringing water from western weel-fields was completed which is phase 2. the purpose of phase 3 was under construction. The project was successful because it's improved the economy of Libya and improved the agriculture.
